The season typically runs from mid April to the end of June with league play starting the first week of May thru the last week of June. Teams may decide to participate in Provincials in July or August. Softball teams will play in the Greater Edmonton Minor Softball Association (GEMSA). Games are played locally and in the surrounding communities.  So some home games might not be played in Legal.  They will be scheduled for 2 times a week, but there may be additional days added for practices.

Infielder Masks are mandatory for all divisions.  Masks must be worn while a team is playing defense in a game, during game/inning warm-ups.  Defensive positions required to wear the infielder mask are 1st, 2nd and 3rd base, Short Stop and pitcher position.  All categories covered by GEMSA must wear a infielder mask.
